P-Square Terminates Contract with Akon? (Photos)
There are strong indications that Peter and Paul Okoye of P-Square music group have terminated their musical contract with Konvict Music, an American-based label owned by international pop star, Akon.
About four years ago, the Okoye brothers announced their international deal with Konvict Music, and this was promptly followed by a visit to their Omole mansion by Akon, and a monster hit collaboration, Chop My Money.

Subsequently, all P-Square promotional materials had been carrying the logo of the international label, but recently that has ceased to happen, prompting speculations that the business relationship between the music stars had been terminated or not renewed as the case may be.
Aside the Chop My Money promotional song, previous singles released by the twins had the logo of Konvict Music, but their current wave-making single, OMG (Free Me), is an exception. It only carries the logo of Square Records.
Besides, a promotional CD released by P-Square for their fans a few months ago did not have the Konvict Music icon on it. This development has fueled speculation that it is not business as usual between the Anambra state-born Nigerians and their American counterpart.
Akon was in Nigeria some weeks ago, and he was pictured hanging out with the brothers, an indication that his personal relationship with the twins is still intact anyway.
