Borno Police Confirms Mosque Attacks By Suicide Bombers, Gives Details
Borno state authorities have confirmed the Boko Haram attack in Gubio town of Borno state.
Yesterday’s reports contained that suspected insurgents had planted explosives in two mosques. The devices were said to have detonated killing many worshipers.
PM News provides an update with reference to Borno police commissioner, Aderemi Opadokun, who spoke with journalists on Wednesday, October 7, in capital Maiduguri.
“There was an explosion in Gubio about 85 Km to Maiduguri at about 05:50 hours on Wednesday when four suspected suicide bombers in military uniform infiltrated Gubio town in Gubio local government area.
“Two of the suspected bombers were said to have detonated improvised explosive devised strapped on their bodies in two near empty mosques killing themselves and three locals.”

He further added that the troops had two other suicide bomber had been killed
Opadokun said the troops had killed two other suicide bombers who were trying to reach a military location in Sabongari Damboa.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian army has mapped out new plans to oust Boko Haram insurgency by December, as ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari. The military tops reiterated its commitment to eliminating terrorism in the country and assured Nigerians that the army was on top of the situation.
