Captain Who Discovered Ekiti Poll Fraud Returns, Talks To Buhari
Sahara Reporters reports that Nigerian Army Captain Sagir Koli, who leaked Ekiti poll audio has returned to Nigeria.
Captain Sagir Koli had made public an audio tape which appeared to be the voice of prominent People Democratic Party members comprising a then minister and an army general planning how to rig the Ekiti governorship polls.
Army’s spokesman Sani Usman has on October 20 announced the establishment of a board of inquiry on Ekiti and Osun states gubernatorial polls in 2014.

Captain Koli had to leave Nigeria once PDP chieftains as well as the military understood that he had in secret recorded conversations of the highly criminal conspiracy to intimidate voters in Ekiti state and to spoil the reelection bid of then governor Kayode Fayemi.
The recordings, which disclosed the PDP officials trying to pressure on General Momoh whilst also offering him money, caused a political scandal known as Ekitigate.

The presidential source said that Captain Koli had a short audience with President Muhammadu Buhari upon his return to Nigeria.
The military recently redeployed General Momoh, the lead military player in the Ekiti electoral fraud, to the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) in Minna, Niger state.
General Momoh’s new post is seen as a demotion, said an army source.
The exact location of Captain Koli is not determined yet. Meanwhile, the military reportedly was in touch with him.
