Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is primed to return to the club to replace Jose Mourinho.

Roman Abramovich has come out to back the manager, stating that he trusts the Portuguese coach to bring Chelsea back to winning ways.

But after the latest defeat-1-2 loss to West Ham- Chelsea are said to be reviewing Mourinho’s position who has been reportedly given one week to save his job.
Mourinho has been told that he must win his next two games- Capital One Cup clash versus Stoke and the home league clash with Liverpool- to avoid getting sack.

The Chelsea hierarchy have also reviewed the £30million which his contract states must be paid to him if he gets sacked.
Ancelotti who coached Chelsea from 2009 to 2011 is reported to be interested in replace Mourinho if he gets the sack.
The Italian manager is top on the list of Chelsea’s list of available managers who could replace Mourinho.
Top managers reports understand are not interested in the Chelsea job out of concern for the pressure that comes from the club.

Another former Chelsea manager, Guss Hiddink could also be a short-term option.
