Super Eagles: John Obi Mikel, 14 others kick-off training in Belgium

 

Super Eagles players present in camp have kicked off training ahead of the October friendlies games

15 Super Eagles players kicked off training at R.Battic FC training ground in Belgium on Monday, October 5 ahead of their two international friendlies.

The Super Eagles will play Congo at the Stade de la Cite de l'Oie, Vise against DR Congo on Thursday, October 8 and Cameroon at the and Ros Beiaard Stadion three days later on Sunday, October 11.

Goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, defenders Elderson Echiejile, Efe Ambrose, William Troost-Ekong and Leon Balogun; midfielders Sylvester Igbonu, Rabiu Ibrahim, Ogenyi Onazi and Obiora Nwankwo and forwards Odion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon, Emmanuel Emenike and Alex Iwobi were led by Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi at training.

 

Portugal based Shehu Abdullahi arrived The Verviers Hotel in Belgium last night to swell the number of players in camp to 16.

The 16 players training this morning too.

The team will train twice today (10am and 4pm) at the same venue, according to the team’s administrator, Enebi Achor.

Expected to join the squad include Godfrey Oboabona, Femi Thomas, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Chima Akas, Austin Oboroakpo, Paul Onobi, Prince Aggrey, as well as the team’s physiotherapist medical crew.
