The former English Premier League goalkeeper died after a battle with cancer

Former Tottenham goalkeeper Martin Fulop has died after a battle with cancer.

Fulop played for nine English clubs after joining Tottenham from Hungarian side Bodajk in 2004.

It is known when he was diagnosed of cancer but had a tumour removed from his arm in 2013.

 

He was aged 32.

He started his career in Hungary playing for MTK Budapest FC, BKV Előre SC and BFC Siófok before signing for English club Tottenham Hotspur.

Loan periods with Chesterfield and Coventry was followed by a spell on loan with Sunderland with whom he permanently signed in 2007.

 

Further loans to Leicester City, Stoke City and Manchester City ended with a transfer to Ipswich Town.

Fülöp has also represented his country at under-21 and full international level. He had 24 caps for Hungarian national team.
