What Actress Said About Playing Sex Scene In Movie

Rising Nollywood actress, Oma Iyasara, has revealed her most challenging role in a movie till date as well as the experience she gained from acting alongside Omotola and Hakeem Kae-Kazeem.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun about the experience she said ‘the sex scene made it challenging’  thus making it her most difficult role till date.

She played the role in the movie Triangle.

She also talked about her journey into the movie industry explaining that it all happened during the 2011 universities strike in Nigeria. Following the break she enrolled at an acting academy and learned the ropes.

This led her to an acting debut in the Damage which was produced by Uche Jombo.

She said: “Growing up, I have al­ways loved TV, So, during 2011 (ASUU) Academic Staff Union of Universities strike, instead of sitting at home, I attended Emem Isong’s Royal Arts Academy. During the pro­gramme, I met a lot of directors and did auditions, and that was how I got my first role in Uche Jombo’s Damage where I acted the role of a doctor. I was also in Last Flight to Abuja with Omo­tola Jalade-Ekeinde.”

Oma credits Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and Hakeem Kae-Kazeem for their roles in helping shape her acting in the earlier days.

“It was great! It felt good to see and work with [Omotola], and be in the same room with her,” she said.

“However, Hakeem Kae-Ka­zeem was closer to me. We bonded more with Hakeem because he was always with us on set. But then, Omotola always en­couraged everybody.

“He taught me to always get comfortable with colleagues on set, no matter how big they are. He said ‘if you are comfortable with them, you will have a better interaction with them on set’. Initially, I was very nervous. For crying out loud, Hakeen Kae-Kazeem was in the Pirates of The Caribbean and here was small me with him on set. I was intimidated, but he made me comfortable and we blended.”
