Hot Seat Monday Is Here Again, People !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The "Hot Seat Monday” is here again and this time, we are going to be celebrating and interviewing one of the newest "Otondo" in town. This lady right here has been holding it down for TILB for a long time now. So, y'all can agree with me that she deserves to be celebrated. Ladies and Gentlemen, it is with great pleasure that i give you the very beautiful, very stunning Apple Berry A.K.A Nono's boo boo...lol... Enjoy
Apple Berry: Thank you so much Esther. I feel elated being chosen today to be on the hot seat. Mehn...the seat hot o!
Interviewer: You are a popular name on lailasblog and we are sure many of our readers would like to know the real you. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Apple Berry: Thank you. I'm known here as Apple Berry, but my real name is Chioma. I'm from Abia state, Isuochi to be precise. I'm the second child in a family of six, three tall men and three beautiful ladies. I just graduated from University of Uyo where I read communication arts and I'm currently serving in Lagos state. That's just my little biography.
Interviewer: Can you tell us where you were born, state and country?
Apple Berry: I was born in the land of Owerri, Imo state,I'm from God's own State which is Abia, and I'm a Nigerian
Interviewer: When did you graduate?
Apple Berry: Oh! I be fresh graduate na. I got my statement of result on 13th August 2015 precisely so that's when I graduated.
Interviewer: Congrats dear
Apple Berry: Thank you love. E no easy
Interviewer: Wow… Currently serving in Lagos? Can you tell us about your experience at the NYSC camp and Mami market?
Apple Berry: Hehehe. Lagos camp is the best NYSC camp in Nigeria, ah swear! It was so much fun. I mean I had so much fun I wished camp wouldn't end. I didn't experience all the scary things other ex corp members did (which by the way were exaggerated stories), I was a member of the OBS and always got bullied by other corp members for telling them to "move to the parade ground now!" Lolz. I also contested for Miss NYSC but I didn't win. When I later got talking with one of the judges, she told me they (judges) unanimously decided I was not tall enough to win..Lolz, when I'm 5ft 8inches. I thoroughly enjoyed myself though and won myself a cool Samsung DVD player.
Interviewer: Wow... I'm glad you still won a prize. Keep it up dear.
Apple Berry: Lol. Thanks
Interviewer: You have already told us where you were born. Can you tell us your date of birth?
Apple Berry: Yeah.. I was born on the 8th day of August, twenty-something years ago.
Interviewer: Can you tell us the secret behind the name AppleBerry?
Apple Berry: Hahaha. Seriously??? Okay, it started from Facebook. I wanted to have this mysterious name you would see and wonder who would be answering that kindda name. So I did a research within myself and started thinking, but my ex-bobo then just suggested Apple Berry and I liked it, and since 2010 I have been answering Apple Berry...Goes nicely with my personality
Interviewer: Well I'm sorry the originator of Appleberry is no longer in the picture of your love life. So is Appleberry married, single and seriously searching or in a relationship?
Apple Berry: Nah..Don’t be sorry, I'm not. These things happen...uumm...Apple Berry is not married, is not seriously searching, or single, but is in a relationship at the moment.
Interviewer: Wow, are you saying someone on the blog is now your new strawberry?
Apple Berry: Haha. No be only strawberry, even blackberry sef. Lolz. I'm seeing someone, yes.
Interviewer: I read one of your recent comment, where you ask a gentle guy on the blog to come massage you. Is he the lucky guy?
Apple Berry: Hahaha. Well...yeah
Interviewer: (Ladies and Gentlemen, it is official o..Yay !!!) So, lets us go back to your career. You said you study communication art. Is that what you have always wanted to study?
Apple Berry: Hahahaha, Esther the trouble maker....Back to your question, well..... not really, I have always had a flair for law, but I don't know why I did not fill that in my jamb form! But communication arts is a really nice course and very broad. It covers all aspects of communication; mass communication/journalism, public relations, book publishing, media law, film/documentary production and political science
Interviewer: I recall a statement once made by Laila on your birthday about you being a good writer, she also advice you go back to blogging. What has been your biggest career challenge in writing and blogging?
Apple Berry: Hmmm...You have a nice memory o, recalling plenty things like these. Anyway, I started that blog a long time ago in 2013, I think for the purpose of publishing my short fiction stories. But that plan did not see the light of day because I hardly had time to write my stories back then. I was still in school and was also into other things to keep body and soul together. So, majorly my challenge was the time to write, I couldn't meet up. I still intend to take Laila's advice and go back to it though.
Interviewer: Awwww. .thanks for the compliment. Do you have any hobbies?
Apple Berry: Sure, I do. I like reading novels, dancing, gisting, travelling, trying new things, and I love doing pretend photo sessions in front of my mirror. Lol
Interviewer: Describe your new found love?
Apple Berry: He's one word - amazing. He's kind, sweet, soft spoken, gentle, and knows how to treat women right. He goes all out for the people he cares about, he’s what most foreign movies would describe as a hero, and what Nollywood movies would call "God sent" to most people around him. Don't get it twisted, I'm not hyping him, just saying the gospel truth. He's an amazing man and I'm pretty sure his head is swelling as he is reading this. Lolz. I'm glad I met him.
Interviewer: What are three life most memories you recall most frequently and why?
Apple Berry: First, when I clocked 21. It was the first time I actually celebrated my birthday. Second was when my dad had a major accident that almost cost him his legs. It was a head-on collision with an oncoming oil tanker. I always remember that day because I would have been in that accident. I was sitting in the car with him and my mum just before she said she wanted to see someone along the road and I opted to go with her. Twenty minutes later my dad was fighting for his life inside the car that was wrecked beyond repairs. Thank God I still have a father today. Third was when I was crowned queen of my department in 2011. I remember my head swelling beyond control when I was announced winner of the beauty contest.
Interviewer: Wow...God be praised. Do you still want to go into modelling?
Apple Berry: Sure, although it's not something I would do as a profession or career, I would totally model for fun.
Interviewer: Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
Apple Berry: 1. In the next five years I should be a wife and a mother of one, (I want to have just two kids, God willing).2. I have dreams, even bigger than I am that I want to achieve, one of which is to own my own business in the line of spa and massage therapy.3. In the next five years I see myself a major stakeholder in the corporate world. I have already begun my journey to achieving this
Interviewer: Since you are currently serving in Lagos. Where is your PPA?
Apple Berry: I work with Dragnet Solutions Limited, 4 Park lane, Shippers towers, Apapa
Interviewer: The meeting of your new found love on the blog. Is there any TILBer involved in the match making or it just happened like that?
Apple Berry: Lol. You like this topic well well. I would say, initially, no. We had already started talking a little bit, still "shying", doing small shakara, dragging feet, until it begun to get noticed by you, and then you decided to employ your match making skills. Lol
Interviewer: Wow. ..Am glad it finally worked out. Please learn to forgive and be there for each other.
Apple Berry: Thank you. We shall try.
Interviewer: Tell us about your most embarrassing moment?
Apple Berry: Okay...ummm. It’s embarrassing already thinking about it. Lolz. I have a huge phobia for escalators. One day I went to shop rite to get a few stuff with my friend some time last year, he insisted on us using the escalator. My heart was racing when I got to the foot of the escalator. I did not know why. Immediately I placed my leg on the first step and was about to place the other, I lost my bearing and fell on the moving escalator! I was so embarrassed. And that was not even my first time of using it! Shii!
Interviewer: Awww...sorry about the fall, angel Appleberry.
Apple Berry: Lol. Thanks. It was really embarrassing. I hid my face in absolute shame.
Interviewer: Name 3 people you admire on this blog?
Apple Berry: You, Bonita and KClub
Interviewer: Describe yourself in one word?
Apple Berry: Amazing
Interviewer: What is your definition of happiness?
Apple Berry: One definition of Happiness is the state of being contented. I also think that a happy person is one who is being his real self, (not living a fake or pretentious life). Again he is focused on positive things and surrounds himself with people who love him, and most importantly, loves and accepts himself the way he is.
Interviewer: If you could ask Laila one question, what would that be?
Apple Berry: How do you do it? Being a wife, a mother, a banker and a blogger all at once..
Interviewer: When lailasblog contacted you to be our guest on the "Hot Seat, what was your gut reaction?
Apple Berry: I felt my heart skip two beats. Then I nervously said "I'm game". After that I caught myself grinning sheepishly to myself. Lol
Interviewer: Is there anything you would like to say to your fellow blog readers and fans?
Apple Berry: Fans ke!. Lmao. Okay o. Lemme say what I would say if I had fans. Don't let life just pass you by doing the wrong things, loving the wrong people, making the wrong friends, looking in the wrong places. Don't let yourself come to that point where you look at yourself in pity and say, "what have I been doing my whole life?", because by then it may be late. So be yourself, stay positive, and live for you, and for God, yeah.
Interviewer: Thank you so much dear for your time. You are beautiful, brilliant, adorable and wonderfully made by God. Mr P is a lucky guy.
Apple Berry: Thank u so much. It's been so much fun doing this interview. It's amazing. Thank you for having me.
Wonderful Tilbers, that was Chioma's Odoemelam and she just spilled it all. For further questions, you can drop them on the comment section and we are sure our guest would be more than willing to reply you all.
Next week Monday, one of you gets to be on the “Hot Seat ". Who could that be? Until then, always remember that you are also a celebrity.
See you all next week with another stunning face. I remain yours truly Esther Imaku.... Muah...
