Like every other year, the year 2015 recorded a number of deaths and among them are respected royal fathers who joined their ancestors.

Naij.com brings you a collation of first class Nigerian royal fathers who joined their ancestors in 2015.

1. Tor Tiv 

The Tor Tiv, Alfred Akawe Torkula, died on November 23. He died at the age of 71.

2. Emir of Borgu

The Emir of Borgu, Senator Haliru Dantoro Kitoro III, 77, died on Friday, October 30 in Germany.

3. Emir of Zing

The Emir of Zing Alhaji Abbas Ibrahim died in September 2015 in the hajj stampede.

4. Olu of Warri

The Olu of Warri, the Ogiame Atuwatse II passed away on September 5 in Lagos. The royal father was on the throne for 28 years, 1987- 2015.

5. Emir of Misau

The late emir of Misau, Alhaji Muhammadu Manga III, died on Monday, August 17 at the age of 78.

6. Ngolong Ngas

Nde Shedrack Dimlong is the traditional ruler of the Ngas nation of Pankshin and Kanke Local Government Areas of Plateau state. The royal father died on Friday, June 26 in Jos at the age of 58.

7. Ooni of Ife

The late Ooni Of Ife

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, Olubuse II, died in the United Kingdom on July 28 after being on the throne for almost 35 years. He died at the age of 85.

8. Jegun of Ileoluji

The traditional ruler of Ile Oluji, Oba Steven Suulade Adejugbe died on Saturday June 6 at the age of 78. The respected traditional ruler had ruled for over 25 years on the throne of his forefathers.

9. Aare of Ago Are

Aare of Ago Are, Oba Jubril Oyesiji Oladoke, joined his ancestors on May 4 after about 39 years of peaceful reign.

10. Emir of Gusau

The Emir of Gusau, Zamfara State, Alhaji Muhammad Kabir Danbaba  died at the age of 91 on March 5. He died at Nigeria Turkish Nizamiye hospital in Abuja after a protracted illness.

11. Emir of Keffi

Emir of Keffi, Alhaji Chindo Yamusa, is dead.

The Emir of Keffi Alhaji Muhammadu Chindo Yamusa II died in his sleep on December 4 at the 70 in his palace. His reign lasted for 37 years.
