Sex Fiend: 60-yr-old man nabbed for raping 12-yr-old girl on Boxing Day

One Adewale Enoch, a 60-year-old man living at the Abigi Community in the Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of Ogun State, has been arrested by the State Police Command for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl.

Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, said the suspect committed the crime on Saturday, December 26, 2015.

“The police operatives attached to Abigi Division of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested one Adewale Enoch, 60, for having unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl, 12, on 26th December at 1540hrs."

The State Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali, has directed that the case be transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence, Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further Investigation and prosecution, as the command has credible evidence to arraign the suspect.

“The police boss also appealed to parents and guardians to monitor their children or wards as all hands must be on deck to eradicate this criminal, barbaric and inhuman act in our society,” Adejobi concluded.
