Vanguard Motoring reports that a source said the plant will be open in the first quarter of 2016.

The semi knock-down plant has been completed and is located in Egbeda, Lagos.
Toyota is one of the twelve auto manufacturers that was awarded licences for establishment by the Nigerian Government through the National Automotive Design and Development Council.
Others are Honda, General Appliances West Africa, Perfection Motors Company, Richbon Nigeria, R.T. Briscoe Nigeria, Nigeria-China Manufacturing Company, Nigeria Sino Trucks, Coacharis Motors, DAG Motorcycle Industry Nigeria, Globe Motors Nigeria, Century Auto-Assembly Nigeria, and Concept Auto Centre.
Earlier this month, Mercedes Benz announced plans to assemble mini-buses, ambulances in Nigeria.
Mitsubishi Motors revealed it's assembly plant plans last month.
“It’s still in negotiation – you can say in the third round out of 10. We have identified the land. Now we are waiting for some clearances from customs, finance ministry… so that’s the status."
