BREAKING NEWS: PDP spokesman released from Kuje Prison

The National Publicity Secretary of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, has finally regained freedom.
He was released from Kuje Prison today, January 28. It is believed that the PDP spokesman's release came after meeting his bail conditions.
Metuh is facing corruption charges for collecting N400million from the embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki. The sum which is believed to be from the $2.1million meant for the procurement of arms to fight Boko Haram.
He was first granted bail in the sum of N400million, with two sureties in the sum of N200 million each.
In his ruling on January 19, the trial judge, Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja, said the two sureties must have landed properties in Maitama District of the Federal Capital Territory.
Justice Abang said the sureties must also deposit the Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) to the Registrar of the court, who must verify the authenticity of the title document of the property from the land registry of the Ministry of the Federal Capital Territory.
He was later arraigned again by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on January 22, 2016, on fresh charges bordering on destruction of evidence.
Justice Ishaq Bello of an Abuja High Court granted him bail in the sum of N300million with two sureties in like sum.
