Barrister Abdulrazak Bagwai, counsel for the accused, vehemently opposed the arraignment of his client as it occured prior to the date fixed for the arraignment.
He also reported on his clients being mistreated by the police despite they were granted bail and the court had restrained the police from their re-arrestment. Mr. Bagwai asked that the court to delay the arraignment until February 29, 2016, the date for the continuation of the hearing.
