James had earlier told his two kids, 6 and 7 years old, to go to bed at about 7:30pm on Dec. 24 but just like most kids they refused going to bed and instead hover around the room.
Apparently, their father who was playing a video game got upset over their disturbance and he ordered both kids to stand facing the wall, then went back to playing video games with his girlfriend Ashley Cole.

James extended the punishment when he caught the 6 year old watching him as he played with his girlfriend.
It was gathered that James forced the boy to lie on his side on the couch with his face against the rear couch cushions and dropped his 122.5kg weight on his son and returned to his game while the little boy was screaming for his dear life out of suffocation that he could not breathe.

Although James later stood up from his son and left with his girlfriend to the garage for a smoke of cigarette it was already too late for the little boy who had turned blue and was lying motionless.
The couple called for emergency and gave CPR but it was all to no avail, the 6-years-old was declared dead at Englewood Hospital.
“When Dad squished him, he got dead,” the sibling said
However, James was arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse, manslaughter of a child and he is being held without bond at the Sarasota County Jail.
