NFF: Cash strapped body to engage assistant coaches on part-time basis
Coaches of the various Nigeria national teams have been asked to work on part time basis
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are set to engage assistant coaches of the various national teams on part-time basis.
According to African Football, this is a move to ease the financial burden on the cash strapped NFF.
“The assistant coaches will now be on part time, strictly for when there is a tournament concerning their respective teams,” the website quotes a top NFF source.
“They will therefore free to work with the clubs when they are now with the national teams.
The NFF have already decided that developmental teams from U17 downwards will no longer be entitled to match bonuses as they save on costs.
