Ben Bruce blasts Oyegun for his boldness to threaten Supreme Court judges
– Ben Murray-Bruce condemned John Oyegun for his call for an investigation of Supreme Court judges
– The senator urged all politicians to emulate Goodluck Jonathan and learn to accept defeat
Senator Ben Murray-Bruce representing Bayelsa East constituency in the National Assembly has taken a swipe at the national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), John Oyegun, over his recent statement.
Oyegun called for an investigation of Supreme Court judges in South East over the backdrop of the APC’s loss of Rivers state governorship seat to the Peoples Democratic Party.
In a series of tweets posted on Thursday, February 3, Murray-Bruce condemned Oyegun’s boldness to threaten the Supreme Court Justices and called on all politicians to emulate former president Goodluck Jonathan by learning to accept defeat.
We should all be good sportsmen like @GEJonathan and learn to accept defeat instead of calling for the probe of Supreme Court Justices.

When the Chairman of the ruling party calls for probe of Sup Court Justices due to unfavorable ruling, it ridicules the anti corruption war.

Oil should not be the reason why you should lament losing a state and calling for the probe of our revered Supreme Court Justices! SMH!!!

As our dear President attends a meeting with world leaders to address the crisis in Syria, I hope none tell him ‘charity begins at home’!

“We have lost very important resource-rich states to the PDP. Oil is still the most important revenue earner for the country”-Imagine that!

Are you telling Nigerians the only reason you are in power is because of oil? And you are bold enough to threaten Supreme Court Justices!

Murray-Bruce has recently given his contribution to the 2016 Appropriation Bill Debate for 2016 budget.
Pointing out some flaws in President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2016 budget, the senator noted that it fails to address how to diversify Nigeria away from her oil addiction. He also stated that the budget has no road map for weaning the country off imported food which is the main consumer of our foreign reserve.
