At the initial inception of the Pyrates confraternity, it was about as innocent as the creation of Boy Scouts or any fraternity in any American or European society.

The composition of ANY group, be it a confraternity, a class, or classes of professionals e.g. bankers, lawyers, architects...etc...a soccer team, even a government, have elements of various characters comprising the gamut of human attributes.

The good, the bad and the ugly.

Many of these individuals distinguished themselves in various walks of life and contributed positively to society. Many, however also have gone the other way. Some were ejected, and went on to form their own versions.

Eventually, when these groups (Pyrates. Vikings ,Black Axe, Eiye, and their corresponding sister groups) ran amok, the PC decided that it was in the interests of peace, and with the rationale of maturity, by these founding fathers of the National Association of Seadogs, that undergraduate mind were not fully mature enough to handle the so-called "fame" and notoriety which had accompanied what started out as a socially-conscious and eventually, politically-vibrant campus group, by a handful of progressive individuals.

Sadly the subsequent negative actions of many, many others in the following years, encompassing a selfish and self-serving aggrandizement for narcissistic motives, has tarnished what legacy they built.
