Lionel Messi: Football star 'denies' buying 1957 Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti [PHOTO]

Earlier this week, there were rumors of Lionel Messi outbidding Cristiano Ronaldo for the World's most expensive car, worth $35.7m.

A couple of days ago, news broke of the 1957 Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti going on sale for $35.7 million.

Proto Organisation, the company in charge, claimed both football stars, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, had put in their bids.

 

Sport added that Messi had outbid Ronaldo.

“The buyer has remained anonymous, but claims suggest it could be Messi. In a bid to seize this dream car, Cristiano Ronaldo was also interested in sitting in the car, but he was outbid by the Argentine.”

 

Messi has responded to this speculation with a picture on his Instagram page.

He 'denied' by posing with a red toy car.

 

Messi's caption said: "My new car".
