Security agencies in the country have been put on high alert to look out for and arrest the former comptroller general of the Nigeria Customs Service, Abdullahi Dikko Inde.
Daily Trust reported that security sources noted that all security agencies, especially at Nigeria’s borders and airports, were asked to be on the look-out for the former comptroller general who is wanted for questioning over alleged misapplication of funds while he headed the service.

The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on January 8 searched the residence of the former Customs boss and it was learnt that he had travelled out of the country few days after he retired from service.
Sources hinted that EFCC could be after his heel over alleged differences between the revenue collected and the one remitted into the federation account under his watch.
Meanwhile, Panic had gripped some officers of the Nigerian Customs Service over plans by the management to de-rank about 4000 officers from the ranks of assistant comptroller of Customs to the lowest cadre, over alleged indiscriminate allotment of ranks to themselves.
