Taiwo Ajai-Lycett is one of the most talented veterans in the entertainment industry, and it's her birthday today, February 3.

To celebrate her, Pulse Nigeria is sharing eight things you should know about the talented actress.

Here we go;

1. The 75-year-old acclaimed international actress  was born in Lagos, Nigeria, on February 3, 1941.

2.  She has featured in international works like  Conor Cruise O’Brien’s "Murderous Angels",  Sidney Poitier's "A warm December" among others.

3. She was honoured with an OON (Officer of the Order of the Niger) in the 2006 by President Olusegun Obasanjo.

4. Lycett kicked off her stage career resumed in 1971 at the Bublin Theatre Festival with her appearance in Conor Cruise O’Brien’s Murderous Angels

5. The actress returned to Nigeria in 1976, and  has appeared in several notable TV and stage production like M-Net’s TV series "Tinsel", stage drama "Hear Word", Tunde Kelani's "Dazzling Mirage," "RUNS," "Olobiri," among others.

6.  She worked as waitress and washer at Lyon’s Tea Shop in the City from 1960 to 1962.

7.  Taiwo was married to Thomas Aldridge Lycett, who was a Shell marketing communication executive.

8. She graduated with the Higher National Diploma in Business Studies in 1969 at the Hendon College of Technology.
