It's beautiful to watch people grow from friends to lovers then proceed to the altar to become man and wife. This just sums up the love story of Kolawole Adeniji and Ololade Bamigbola.
Sharing their wedding story exclusively with Pulse Nigeria, Lolade was a fresh student studying Geology at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2008 when she met Kola who was a 300 level student in the same department. They became friends after they were both picked to sell dinner tickets to other students in the department and began dating much later.
Six years after their friendship began; Lolade and Kola tied the knot on December 5, 2015 in Ibadan, Oyo state.

Ololade's story
How we met:
As a fresh undergraduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, my intention was to wait until I was in 200 level before getting into any relationship, just so I could concentrate on having a strong foundation.
Along the line, towards the end of second semester 100 level, I met Kolawole Adeniji, the guy that was said to be the "face of OAU geology" at the time. I had previously heard a lot about him, but never had the opportunity of meeting him face to face, until preparations started for "Geo Week 2009".
We talked quite a number of times, as I got dinner tickets from him to sell to my classmates, and also remitted money back to him. We became friends after this.
School resumed for a new session, and I was ready to start dating at the time, but Kola was not forthcoming with asking me out, he took his time so much that I became worried, which explains why I did not hesitate to give him a "YES" when he asked me to date him on February 15, 2009.
The Proposal
It was the day after my birthday, on the 13th of March 2015, Kola called a few of his friends together, which I didn’t know about. Though he told me on my birthday that he had plans of doing a small birthday get together for me, with some of our friends in attendance, I was really excited and looked forward to it, he then asked me to dress corporate, and wear a blazer...lol, I became a little bit suspicious of his actions because it was a Friday.
That evening came, and they took me to a popular restaurant in Lagos, soft music was continuously playing in the background, we were all gisting and laughing, I noticed my fiancé was pacing up and down; feeling all tensed up...lol!
After having some food and drinks, he gave me my birthday gift, a phone and asked me to open it, while trying to open it, he asked me to be careful, and then I knew something was in it.
I opened it and oh my God!, the beautiful ring was lying on beautifully on the phone. As I looked up, Kola was on his knees, saying a lot of words, I can swear I did not really hear him..lol. He then asked the question "Will you marry me", with joy in my heart, I said ''Yes I Will''.
And that was how the journey to forever began...
Kolawole's Story
How we met:
I met Ololade in Geology department, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. She was at the time a 100l student of Geology department, while I was in 300L. It was our departmental week, and we were both given the task of selling tickets for the 2009 Geology dinner.
I developed a special kind of likeness for her at first sight, and I wanted to continue to be friends with her, even after the event that brought us close.
I decided to watch her over time, and found out how likeable, nice, friendly and caring my Lolade is. So, I waited for a while, because I was scared of her turning down my offer but when I got the ‘green light’, I asked her to date me on the February 15, 2009 and she did not hesitate to say ‘yes’.
The Proposal
Before March 13, I had told few of my friends of my intentions to propose Lolade and they helped me in putting together a perfect plan. I had told the love of my life on her birthday to get ready for a small birthday hangout for her and few of my friends a day after her birthday. I had one of my friends call her to tell her to name wherever she wants to go that he’ll take her there.
We picked her up on her way back from work, and drove her to the restaurant of her choice; Four Points by Sheraton. After we had our food and drinks, I asked one of my friends to start doing a video coverage for me as I presented Lolade with her birthday present. My heartbeat was faster than usual and I was really tensed up as I watched her unwrap the gift.
I immediately went on my knees, and told her how blessed I am to have her, and how I could not wait anymore to have her as my wife after dating for six sweet years. She was just laughing, and kept on laughing, and then she looked at me and said YES!
I’ll remember that day as the most beautiful time of my life.
Congratulations to Kola and Lolade
