Daniel Bryan has called time on bis career after a series of concussion has caused some damage to his brain
World Wrestling Entertainment star Daniel Bryan has announced his retirement after 16 years in professional wrestling.
The 34-year-old called time on his wrestling career on Monday, February 8 WWE RAW in front of his home state fans in Seattle, Washington.
With a trimmed beard and new shorter haircut, Bryan emerged from behind the curtain and spoke to the crowd.
He revealed that he is retiring early because of his health as he suffered many concussion as a result of three he sustained during the first five months of the start of his career.
Despite being cleared by doctors to return to the ring recently, a new test a forthnight ago revealed that something was not right with his brain.
Bryan held the WWE World Heavyweight Championship three times and the World Heavyweight Championship once, in addition to being a one-time United States Champion, a one-time WWE Tag Team Champion as part of Team Hell No (with Kane), and a one-time Intercontinental Champion.
He was also the 2011 SmackDown Money in the Bank winner and the 2013 Superstar of the Year Slammy Award winner.
He is the 26th Triple Crown Champion and the 15th Grand Slam Champion in WWE history and headlined several major pay-per-view events including SummerSlam in 2013 and WrestleMania XXX.
