Aisha Buhari: Wife of President denies trading forex with CBN

The tweet accused Aisha Buhari of collecting “$22m from the CBN on the instruction of Emefiele and the company sold at N362 same day.”

Wife of the Nigerian President, Aisha Buhari has denied an allegation by the verified Twitter handle of the Peoples Democratic Party that she was involved in an illegal forex deal with the Central Bank of Nigeria.

The tweet accused Aisha Buhari of collecting “$22m from the CBN on the instruction of Emefiele and the company sold at N362 same day.”

 

And in a swift reaction, the wife of the President denied the allegation in a series of tweets threatening to sue the political party.
