Photos from the ongoing coronation of the 41st Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Olasupo Adetuji, at the Mapo hall has emerged.
Present at the coronation are first class kings in Nigeria including the Ooni of Ife, Ooni Enitan Ogunwusi, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi; the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar IV; Emir of Ilorin; Oba of Lagos, Riliwan Akiolu; Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo and other kings.

Governors present here are governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos state, Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state and the host governor, Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state.

Also present here is the national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; popular pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church, S.K Abira; popular spiritualist, St. Gurumaragi.
The coronation kicked off way beyond the scheduled 10 am with security officials having issues controlling the crowd who are happy to see the new king.
Meanwhile, some bookmakers are already praising the state governor for being the first Ibadan-born governor of Oyo state to crown an Olubadan of Ibadan.
Recall that Chief Adebayo Oyediji had approached the Oyo State High Court in Ibadan, praying the court to charge the Olubadan-designate, High Chief Saliu Adetunji, with contempt of court and committed to prison if installed as the next Olubadan.
