Katsina governor spent over N500million on Ramdan feeding – PDP

– The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chapter in Katsina state has publicly attacked the Katsina state governor, Alhaji Aminu Masari

– The party accused the Masari administration of frivolous spending

– The allegations were made in a newspaper advertorial

The PDP in the state was reacting to a statement credited to the state governor in the media where he alleged that N70 billion was missing under the last administration in the state.

According to the PDP, the former governor of the state, Ibrahim Shema followed all due process in all the financial transactions he entered into on behalf of the state.

The party further alleged that the only missing money in the state treasury is under the eyes of the present governor.

The PDP alleged that a cash withdrawal of N589 million was made by the state government account under the guise of Ramadan feeding in an old generation bank.

The party went further to accuse the Masari administration of  another N500 million cash withdrawal in the name of security related issues.

In another allegation made, the party said: ”The 11.8 billion bailout loan received from the CBN for pensions and gratuities more that five months ago which ICPC has promised to investigate. So far only N800 million was announced to have been paid from the account, the remaining balance of N11 billion is unaccounted for.”

The advertorial was signed by the Katsina state PDP chairman, Honourable Salisu Yusuf Majigiri on behalf of the party.

Meanwhile, A group that calls itself ”Committee of Anambra state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives members-elect” has described the leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as incompetent.

In an open letter to President Muhammadu Buhari, the group lamented that INEC is encouraging impunity as regards their status as members-elect of the lower house.
