"Preacher": AMC series gets official premiere date
The anticipated AMC series "Preacher" will make its debut after the mid-season finale of "Fear the Walking Dead."
AMC has revealed that its much anticipated new series "Preacher" will premiere on Sunday, May 22, following the mid-season finale of Fear the Walking Dead.
The upcoming TV series which is developed by Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogen and Sam Catlin for AMC, is an adaptation of the comic book series created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon.
"Preacher" was officially picked up on September 9, 2015, with a ten-episode order.

Plot.
'Preacher' revolves around Jesse Custer, a conflicted preacher in a small Texas town who merges with a powerful creature that has escaped from heaven.
Along with his ex-gal, Tulip, and an Irish vampire named Cassidy, the three embark on a journey to literally find God".
The AMC series stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, Joseph Gilgun as Cassidy the vampire, Ruth Negga as Tulip, Colletti as Arseface, W. Earl Brown as Sheriff Hugo Root, Lucy Griffiths as Emily Woodrow, and Elizabeth Perkins as Vyla Quinncannon.
