The governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele is facing removal from his position following a suit filed against him by 10 constitutional lawyers.

Emefiele has been at the receiving end of fierce criticism following the secret recruitment of children and family members of top politicians including President Muhammadu Buhari and Atiku Abubakar.

It was reported that recruitment of family members of top politicians was done by the CBN boss to endear him towards the presidency although he has denied it and argued that the persons recruited were qualified.

According to Sahara Reporters, the case will come up in a fortnight at a Federal High Court in Abuja.
