50 deserving students would be given the opportunity to study in Hungary.
Fifty Nigerian students interested in studying in Hungary will now be given the chance to do so for free as the Hungarian government has pledged to offer scholarship to deserving students.
It was reported that there are currently over 900 Nigerian students attending Hungarian universities according to the website of the Hungarian government.
This report was confirmed by Hungary’s minster of foreign affairs and trade, Péter Szijjarto, who was in the country to sign an economic cooperation agreement.

Szijjarto also said that Hungarian military doctors have received training at a Nigerian university to treat tropical diseases that could be brought into Hungary by migrants.
"Nigeria, which is increasingly often referred to as Africa’s economic giant and whose economic performance even overtook that of the South African Republic last year, has always been a good economic partner to Hungary,” Szijjarto said, while speaking to press on April 1.
