Niklas Dorsch, the young talent of Bayern Munich, says he  is amazed by Guardiola’s ideas.

The 18-year-old is seen as the most promising player of the German club and the midfielder is delighted that Pep Guardiola works closely with every player – whether they are a first-team star or a fringe member of the squad.

It would be recalled that on February 1, Guardiola was appointed as the new manager at Manchester City on a three-year deal; where he is expected to take over this summer.

Dorsch said: “If you understand his ideas you’re impressed and ask yourself: ‘How you can have those amazing ideas? Pep treats every player the same way. If he sees something in you, he will invest all the time it takes to promote you and make sure you’ll get it and get better. This is why I have learned so much from him in this short time.”

He added: “You should not be in awe of him, but respect him. You only can impress if you dare to try and take risks. This is what the coach wants to see: that you don’t have any fear because World Cup winners are standing next to you. If you don’t accomplish it at Bayern, you can do it at nearly every other club. I personally need big challenges to go to my limit and further.”

Dorsch is also in awe of Bayern team-mate Arjen Robben: “Robben is mad! He gives everytime 100 percent from the moment he arrives at the training ground to the moment he leaves. Even at having the lunch!”

The player stressed: “The most important thing is self assessment. If you overestimate yourself you can develop a big problem. I’m self-critical all the time and try to get better each day.”

“Talent is not everything, you have to give everything in each minute, too. I think you can make it at Bayern with less talent and 100 percent effort than the other way round,” he concluded.
