In Dubai: You can report a crime using an app!
The app can be used in six different languages including Arabic, English, Chinese, French, German and Russian.
What to do if someone breaks into your home in Dubai or you happen to be driving by and witness an accident?
Simply file a complaint on the city's app.
Police officials participating at the Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition (DIGAE) revealed that Dubai's police app, Dubai Police Eye has been revamped to now allow residents report a crime.
Residents will thus, be able to file online complaints across nine different categories including disturbances, alcohol/drugs, suspicious vehicle, suspicious sale, gambling, vandalism, prostitution, begging and miscellaneous.
According to Gulf News, the app is constantly updated year-round with new services and features.
The app is available on both androids and iPhones, and allows users to attach videos, photos and voice messages when reporting crime.
Users also have the option of keeping their identity anonymous.
