OFFICIAL: Neuer signs a new contract

Manuel Neuer, the goalkeeper of Bayern Munich, has signed a contract extension until 2021 despite recent reports suggested Neuer may be tempted to join head coach Pep Guardiola at Manchester City next season,

Neuer joined Bayern ahead of the 2011-12 season from Schalke and has been a mainstay of Bayern’s XI since.

Franck Ribery, the player of Bayern Munich, says that his long-term future at the club is still undecided. With such stars as Jerome Boateng, Thomas Muller, David Alaba, Javi Martinez and Xabi Alonso Bayern have not yet sat down with Ribery to discuss his future. The  current deal  of the French is due to expire in June 2017.

Ribery said: “I have not heard anything yet about my contract. We have yet to hold talks, but everyone knows what I am capable of. I want to keep playing as long as possible.”

It should be recalled that an ankle injury meant Ribery only played one league match in 2015/16 before February.
