This past week was an epic one, with the biggest news being the fight between celebrity blogger, Linda Ikeji and popstar Wizkid. It wasn’t long before Wizkid’s erstwhile rival, Davido, who was embroiled in his own controversy earlier this year, stepped in to surprisingly throw his support behind Wizzy.

Meanwhile, Olamide changed the topic with his monster freestyle Who You Epp, which had big names like Reminisce, Phyno, Ruggedman, Dotman, Pepenazi, Tobby Grey, Chinko Ekun and Lil Kesh pulling out their own versions.  Kiss Daniel wowed us with new tune, Mama, expected to be on his debut album New Era. While Falz capped the week Bahd, Baddo Baddest featuring Olamide and Davido.

Here are some of the great music videos you might have missed.

1. Tilla feat. Davido – Oni Reason

Another music video in the form of a short film from Aquila Records; the song was produced by Kiddominant, mixed and mastered by Suka Sounds while its video was shot in Lagos by Frizzle ‘N’ Bizzle. Tilla and Davido starred as randy neighborhood-watch policemen in the humor filled video.

2. Iyanya – Type Of Woman

MMMG star, Iyanya, dropped Type Of Woman just a few days ago, swiftly following it with a video. The R&B song is unusual for Iyanya these days, although that was how he was introduced to us on MTN Project Fame. The video was shot by Megaboi.

3. Orezi – Double Your Hustle

Sprisal Music star, Orezi, released the official video for his inspiring tune Double Your Hustle off The Ghen Ghen Album. Directed by Paul Gambit, it features cameos from, Kcee , Harrysong , Uti , Solid star.

4. Aramide feat. Adekunle Gold – Love Me

Soul singer Aramide and YBNL soldier Adekunle Gold released the video for their duet Love Me, shot in Ikoyi by Stanz Visuals. Adekunle Gold plays Aramide’s love interest in a love story everyone who has been in love can relate to.

5. MaYorKun – Eleko

Davido recently officially unveiled, Mayorkun, the first artist signed to his Davido Music Worldwide imprint. MaYorKun’s life turned around when he tweeted a 10 second video of himself singing the chorus of Davido’s The Money featuring Olamide. He got Davido’s attention and like they say, the rest was history. He debuted on the label with the single Eleko produced by PuffyTee and mixed by Suka Sounds, The video was directed and shot in Lagos by Director Q.

6. Ice Prince – Seasons

Self-styled “cool cat”, IcePrince Zamani, served us with yet another hit, Seasons, which shows the Chocolate City vice president’s deeper side . The song was produced by Illkeyz on the beat, mixed and master by City Monstar while the video was directed by fast-rising director, Shay UA.

7. Mr Moi feat. Flavour – Nwatadimma

Mr Moi premiered his single, Nwatadimma, featuring highlife maestro, Flavour, a few weeks ago and we all loved it. They are back with the official video of the Selebobo produced tune. The lovey-dovey song is gradually becoming a wedding anthem with the beautiful video directed by Mex and shot on location in Lagos.

8. Toby Grey – Love Dosage

Toby grey stepped into the Nigerian music scene with Gboju, her cover of Kiss Daniel’s monster hit, Woju. She followed the success swiftly with Gbona and now is back with Love Dosage. The video was directed and shot by Stanz Visual in Lagos, Nigeria.

9. Flavour – Dance

2NITE Music Group has released the video for Flavour‘s latest single Dance. The video which borrows liberally from Jutin Bieber’s Sorry video was directed by Clarence Peters.

10. YCee – Panda (Cover)

Tinny Entertainment’s YCEE covers probably the hottest hip hop joint out of America at the moment Panda. This is an exceptional effort as YCEE fuses elements of the original song and adds his usual easy feel to it. The video was directed by 8000FILMS.
