Some comedians have spread their tentacles in entertainment industry to acting. For some it is an avenue to make themselves more entrenched in the entertainment industry while for others it is another means of making more money. NAIJ.com brings you a list of 10 comedians who also act.

1. Seyi Law

The funnyman is making his debut with the movie entitled, ‘Prophet Nebu’. ‘Prophet Nebu’ is produced by Emem Isong’s Royal Arts Academy and stars other artistes like Uche Jombo-Rodriguez.

2. Ali Baba

Legendary comedian, Ali Baba, acted in a new stage play titled Loud Whispers which was staged on Sunday, May 1. The play was to commemorate the 2016 Workers’ Day and is Ali Baba’s debut acting job. The play which is an adaptation of the similar named book, written by Joseph Edgar, unconventional investment banker and theatre enthusiast was staged at the MUSON Centre, Lagos.

3. Ayo Makun

Ayo Makun in A Trip To Jamaica

This popular comedian who started out with his comedy skit AY Crib went further by producing movies. His first movie 30 Days in Atlanta was a hit. He had since gone to produce his second movie A Trip to Jamaica.

4. Basketmouth

Comedian Basketmouth is set to drop a new movie titled Tough Film in 2016. The movie promises cameo appearances from a number of celebrities including Ramsey Nouah, Genevieve Nnaji and more.

5. Julius Agwu

Julius Agwu

Julius Agwu is a graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Port Harcourt. He is an actor, musician and a comedian. Agwu started acting in 1085 when he joined a theatre troupe owned by Innocent Ohiri. His first major acting job was in NTA sitcom Paradise Park. He later featured in Rattle Snake, Lagos Boy. He is the producer of the movie The Gods Also Cry.

6. Bovi

Bovi

He studied Theatre Arts from Delta State University. He is a director, producer, actor, and writer. Bovi began his career in April 2007starring in the sitcom Extended Family which he produced, wrote, and packaged.

7. Koffi Idowu Manuel

Koffi Idowu Manuel

Koffi started his acting career when he joined Theatre 15 as a student of university of Lagos in 1998. He trained as a stage actor, dancer, and comedy. His first major television breakthrough was as a feature on the hit comedy campus sitcom Twilight Zone. He had since gone to feature in Nollywood movies and many sitcoms.

8. Lepacious Bose

This lawyer cum entertainer has featured in a couple of movies. She featured in Stanlee Ohikhuare tilted Tunnel. The movie stars Nse Ikpe Etim, Femi Jacobs, Waje Iruobe. She also featured in Omoni Oboli’s award winning movie, Being Mrs Elliot among other movies she has done.

9. Helen Paul

She is a graduate of Theater Arts of the University of Lagos. She has featured in many movies like Alakada, The Place, The Return of Jenifa and others. Helen Paul opened a film and theater academy, named “Helen Paul Theater and Film Academy.

10. Ushbebe

Ushbebe studies Theatre Arts graduate from the Delta State University, Abraka. He left his banking job for the entertainment sector. He is a cast member of on AY’s Crib playing the role of AY’s gateman from Warri.
