Fayose: PDP warns Governor not to attack Buhari
The patron of the group, Prof. T Akinyemi, said Fayose is making a fool of himself by constantly attacking Buhari verbally.
A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) group under the aegis of Concerned PDP Stakeholders has warned Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state not to attack President Buhari.
The Concerned PDP Stakeholders also said the President has good intentions for Nigeria.
Punch reports that the patron of the group, Prof. T Akinyemi, said Fayose is making a fool of himself by constantly attacking Buhari verbally.
Akinyemi issued an official statement saying “We would like Fayose to stop ridiculing himself in his efforts to attack Buhari. Buhari has good intentions and he is a man we all respect, irrespective of his political affiliation. Moreover, the office of the President deserves the respect of all Nigerians. God is the one who puts people in power. We condemn Fayose’s unguided, repeated attacks on Buhari. It is better to keep shut if you have nothing to say.”
The Ekiti state Governor has been a vocal critic of what he calls the anti-people policies of President Buhari.
Fayose has also blamed the President for the comment made by the British Prime Minister, David Cameron, describing Nigeria as a fantastically corrupt nation.
The Governor also said the current increase in the price of fuel, is an indication the Buhari led administration does not care about Nigerians.
