Current Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has hinted that he could stay with the club.
The atmosphere at Anfield was extremely electric as Liverpool won an important point thanks to Christian Benteke’s 92nd-minute equaliser which cancelled out Eden Hazard’s first-half opener.
It should be noted that Chelsea cannot finish higher than 9th this season.
Chelsea announced that the former Juventus coach Antonio Conte signed a three-year contract and will begin work in London after leading Italy in this summer’s Euro 2016 tournament. Antonio Conte will be looking to recover from the worst title defence in Premier League history.
However, reports have claimed that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is keen to keep the former Netherlands boss at Stamford Bridge.
The 69-year-old suggests he would be open to working with the club’s youth players: “I’m not definitely going away, I’d like to be involved with the development of players, like Tammy [Abraham] and maybe some others, not just in the club but outside the club, that’s what I’d like to do very much, we’ll see what will happen in the upcoming time,” the Dutchman told Sky Sports after Wedesnday’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool.

The former Italian league title-winning coach expressed his happiness at his appointment. The 46-year-old Italian said: “I am very excited about the prospect of working at Chelsea Football Club. I am proud to be the coach of the national team of my country and only a role as attractive as manager of Chelsea could follow that. I am looking forward to meeting everyone at the club and the day-to-day challenge of competing in the Premier League.”
“Chelsea and English football are watched wherever you go, the fans are passionate and my ambition is to have more success to follow the victories I enjoyed in Italy,” he added.
