Nigerian pop singer Ayo Jay whose song Your Number got major international buzz after the remix with Fetty Wap is set to enjoy even more prominence with a new music deal.

In July, 2015, following the collaboration with the American act Fetty Wap things picked up for the singer and 2016 has seen him signing on to RCA Records.

In April 2016, the singer was listed by Rollingstone as one of “10 New Artistes You Need To Know”. He has continued grow in recognition and craft.

With Peter Edge as its CEO, RCA Records is an American music label which operates under Sony Music Entertainment.

The label was founded in 1901 and has a great pedigree.

It is also home to some of the world’s finest musicians who make music across diverse genres including Chris Brown, Dave Matthews Band, Shakira, R. Kelly, Justin Timberlake Foo Fighters, Sia, Pitbull, Kings Of Leon, Usher and A$AP Rocky among others.

An elated Ayo Jay took to his Instagram account to announce the great feat in the early hours of Saturday, May 14, 2016 as he explained how much he was at a loss for words.

He wrote: “Say hello to latest addition to the Sony @rcarecords family. Words really can’t express what this moment means to me, but I’d like to give all the Glory to God for his continuous blessings. It’s been a real journey from recording voice note hooks on my phone, to learning how to record in the studio, to actually making good records.

“Can’t thank @onenationrecords enough for believing blindly in my ability and for developing me till date. As we move to the next level together, I have no doubt in my mind I’m with the right team. To my family and close friends, I’ll forever be grateful and will continue to make sure you are proud of me. To my new family @rcarecords, thanks for this wonderful opportunity to take what I love doing to the next level. I plan on making history here.

Ayoola Ogundeyi Junior also known as Ayo Jay is a Nigerian singer who has enjoyed previous successes with the songs Available and Don’t Say That.

Born in London, the 26-year-old grew up in Lagos and went to University in America where he graduated with a degree in Finance and Investments.
