The club have reportedly agreed a £5.5million offer from Turkish side Fenerbahce the defender, as agent Mithat Halis is said to be negotiating personal terms with the Turkish side.

The 31-year-old knows he must leave Anfield after losing his first-team place under Jurgen Klopp and he made just four starts in the second half of last season.

The Slovakia centre-half, who is currently on Euro 2016, duty is Liverpool’s second-longest serving first-team player after Lucas and has clocked up 320 appearances for the Reds.

Also, former Manchester United star could be in line for a surprise return to the EPL. Turkish media outlet DHA reports that Luis Nani could return to the EPL, having already agreed personal terms with former club Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho, the source reports, has given the green light for the deal to go ahead.

However, a transfer fee is yet to be agreed with Fenerbahce. The Red Devils are ready to pay the €8 million release clause. Manchester sold the Portguese winger to the Turkish side in 2015.
