– Veteran music producer OJB Jezreel is dead
– He died this morning at Isolo General Hospital in Lagos
– Reactions have started pouring in for the late music icon
The Nigerian entertainment industry was thrown into mourning this morning as report surfaced that talented singer, songwriter and producer Babatunde Okungbowa popularly known as OJB Jezreel has passed away.
OJB was said to have died this morning, June 14, at Isolo General Hospital in Lagos, just one month to his 50th birthday.
Recall that in 2013, the music producer was flown for a Kidney transplant in India. His first wife, Mama J, had donated one of her kidneys to save his life and he has been doing well since then.

Sources said he had a relapse about two weeks ago and was kept on daily dialysis before his sudden death.
His death comes at a time the country is already mourning the loss of two prominent Nigerians, Stephen Keshi and Shuaibu Amodu, who both died last week.
Nigerians are concerned over the sudden deaths which have taken place in less than a week.
Reacting to OJB’s death, some Nigerians said they want answers from the health sector as the deaths are all health related.

The poor dude later reached out to me apologizing it wasn’t him but he needed kidney surgery. I sent him a huge amount of dollars. Sleep well. U are now free. Everyone can google that scam story.”
