The host nation were stretched in their match against the debutants but their efforts paid off in the dying seconds as Atletico Madrid striker Griezmann netted the crucial goal for the hosts in the 89th minute. Dimitri Payet,who scored France’ winner against Romania in the opening match of the tournament, also got a goal in the dying seconds to ensure the hosts win their second game of the competition.

France are through to the second round of the ongoing European championships. Antoine Griezmann and Dmitry Payet both scored in the dying minutes as Le Blues who fought throughout the entire 90minutes saw off a determined Albania who are now out of the competition.

And one man who was delighted with Dmitry Payet was his West Ham boss Slaven Bilic.

After Payet struck on Wednesday evening, the West Ham boss got on the table to celebrate.
