Creativity at its peak! See what this young student invented
The world would be a better place if we give in to the inventions of these young minds and find ways to make use of the products they are creating.
There are so many talented and creative persons in the society; the young ones are doing something worthwhile with their time as they are not ready to give in to the vices and ills of the society. Rather, they are ready to invest in their future and create something remarkable in their environments.

The focal point of attention in this piece is Arnold Bett, a student of the University of Nairobi, who is also a researcher in electronics. This young student has been able to achieve a remarkable feat by developing a drone.
Bett who is a Kenyan has been able to identify a need in the environment by creating this drone to assist agricultural research. This would be considered to be a wise move giving the fact that agriculture would always remain one of the most important sectors of the economy.
The young student created an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) which is powered by rechargeable batteries. It has a weight of 2.5kg which can support a standard camera with special sensors. The drone can go as far as two hundred meters high.
This beautiful invention has been tested by using it to gather data on potato farming in Tanzania. This mode of data collection has been described as revolutionary since it gives more information despite it being cheaper. Researchers also said it would allow scientists to analyse large-scale projects without the use of satellites.
This drone can help map the irrigation system by detecting the poor areas in water crop. The remote sensing UAV has also helped them identify fourteen varieties of sweet potatoes in Tanzania.
Arnold Bett has been able to give his invention the adequate push; he was able to display his work at an exhibition that Uhuru Kenyatta, the Kenyan president graced. This young student has high hopes of marketing his work.

Part of the inhibiting factors that limit his creativity is the inability to fly drones in Kenya as he would be needing some licenses. He has been able to use this drone in Tanzania since all he needs is a permit. Flying it in Kenya is a big deal as he would need to go through the Civil Aviation Authority of Kenya (KCAA).
This body and the ministry of defence need to draft out regulations that would govern the use of drones in Kenya.
In recent times, a young boy in Nigeria invented some fans which could last for as long as nineteen hours. The thirteen-year-old boy has been able to show the world that he is not operating on the same frequency as his age mates.
