The Perfect Proposal

There was something strange about the way Ajibade carried himself all through the evening. Almost like he was stalling for time. He was tensed, which made Mary get tensed as well and the reason why she suggested they leave the diner and maybe go somewhere they’d feel more comfortable.

He obliged and stood up, stretching out ahand, which Mary took willingly. But instead of making for the door, he dropped to one knee.
