Wike’s new grudge with Amaechi is over a certain N300m or N500m bribe

In the most recent episode of the never-ending acrimony between Rotimi Amaechi and Nyesom Wike, ‘N300m bribe’ appears to be the subject matter.

The outgoing and incoming Governors of Rivers are apparently nowhere near a surprise reconciliation- oh what a dream.

Governor-elect, Wike, has accused Amaechi of  inducing some lawyers in the office of Attorney General of Rivers state, to file a suit for Rivers State All Progressives Congress ( APC ) to stop his inauguration.

He revealed that “credible information available to him indicates that Governor Amaechi paid out N300m to some lawyers out of an agreed N500m for the procurement of the illegal order”, which he says has been struck out by the Federal High Court, sitting in Owerri.

Wike made the allegation on Tuesday, May 19, while addressing members of the inauguration and transition committees in Port Harcourt.

The Governor-elect also stated that the state became bankrupt because of the Amaechi’s fixation on stopping his inauguration and his siphoning of government funds to shop for unconstitutional court orders.

“Amaechi has boasted that he has looted all the funds and he is threatening that if Buhari is sworn in he will deal with this and the policeman and soldier.

“That tells you the kind of man you are dealing with.  This is just to inform those who you who are not informed about his antics, so that you will be encouraged in the face his needless provocation”.
