Army Raises Alarm Over Fraudsters Using Chief Of Army Staff’s Name On Facebook
The Nigerian Army has raised an alarm over the activities of fraudsters who have created a Facebook account using the name of Chief of Army Staff, Major General T Y Buratai.
Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, the Acting Director, Army Public Relations in a statement said: “It has come to our knowledge that some unscrupulous and criminal elements have started using the name of the Chief of Army Staff (CoAS), Major General T Y Buratai through Facebook platform requesting for friendship, extort and defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
Usman said so far that there are 3 accounts existing with various types of names using photographs of Buratai in uniform and that of Director, Defence Information as profile photographs.

The acting director has requested the general public to take note and please be advised not to accept any friend request from any Facebook account using the name of the Chief of Army Staff.
In a related development, the Chief of Army Staff, Buratai has said that the dreaded Boko Haram sect would either beg for peace or face the wrath of highly motivated and combat ready soldiers under his command.
