Fayose: ‘Fayemi’s N3B Pavilion Project Was A Fraud

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has described the State Pavilion project constructed by the past administration of Kayode Fayemi as a deceit to the good people of the state, declaring that the current state of the building was not the true infrastructural picture of what was projected.

The project which allegedly gulped a whopping sum of about N3.3 billion was said to be in a state of defection, which is giving the present administration a lot of concern, adding that the in-completion and commissioning of the project was poised to danger to the people.

This was revealed by the state commissioner for Information, Youth and Sports, Mr. Lanre Ogunsuyi and the chairman, house committee on Information, Youth and Sports, Hon. Gboyega Aribisogan during their inspection tour of the site with some journalists.

According to the commissioner, “the current structural defect of some parts of the building was poised to danger as the walls of some parts of the building are beginning to crack.

“While some apartments were painted at the front with the notion that it has been completed, reverse was the case as the wall inside were not given necessary touches, especially the plastering.

“There is no ceilings, doors and windows in some areas, thereby, causing damages to the abandoned projects due to rainfall.

“It is like a faeces that was covered with shits, I have never seen a house that has never been painted without ceiling, door or plastering, It lacks basic amenities. It was sad that it was commissioned by the current Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari,” Ogunsuyi revealed.

He hinted that the assessment was another attestation that the past administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi had done nothing than deceived the people of the state.

Also commenting, Aribisogan said the Fayemi administration misappropriated state funds to execute cosmetic project, which, according to him, “is dangerous to the environment.

“It is an embarrassment and unfortunate to see some things around here, due to the carelessness of the contractor,”  the lawmaker said.

Meanwhile, the speaker of the Ekiti state House of Assembly, Pastor Kola Oluwawole, reinstated the determination of the legislative arm of the government in the state to work hand-in-hand with the executive arm.
