Boko Haram: Nigerian Air Force Rotates Soldiers In Northeast
The Nigeria air force says it has rotated its soldiers in the northeast as a means of refreshing the minds of the troops in the fight against insurgency.
NAF has replaced some “weary soldiers” from battle with the deadly Boko Haram group with fresh fighters.
Dele Alonge, air force spokesperson, said the goal of the exercise is to reinvigorate the minds of the soldiers.

He said: “The Nigeria air force has rotated members of its ground forces fighting alongside the troops of the Nigeria army who have spent over six months at operation Lafiya Dole in northeast, Nigeria.”
“The latest troop rotation, in line with the usual practice, was aimed at reinvigorating the minds of the personnel, and their commitment to the ongoing fight against the Boko Haram terrorists, by replacing the weary hands with fresh ones. The rotation also has the corollary effect of morale boasting for the troops.”

President Muhammadu Buhari is determined to crush the insurgency in the shortest possible time.
Aside from relocating the military command centre to Borno state on his first day in office, travelling out of the country to solicit the help of world leaders in battling the insurgents, and sacking his predecessor’s service chiefs and national security adviser, the president gave the military three-month deadline for ending the deadly sect.
