Former MASSOB Leader Uwazuruike Explains Why His Expulsion Can’t Be Valid
Ralph Uwazuruike, the leader of the Movement for Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) who has been allegedly expelled from the group, insists he still remains the leader.
The ‘expelled’ leader of the pro-Biafra movement said the duo of Uchenna Madu and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, director of Radio Biafra, who announced his expulsion several days ago, had long been axed from the movement for gross misconduct.
According to Chris Moucha, the national director of information, Uwazuruike also distanced MASSOB from the ongoing violent demonstrations led by the supporters of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) across South-East and South South states.
Uwazuruike said that the former directors, Nnamdi Kanu and Uchenna Madu, were expelled since September 30, 2009, and August 30, 2014, respectively for their violent related behaviours. He added that they can’t speak on behalf of the organisation in any capacity.
“There is no faction in MASSOB I have remained silent on the matter because silence is the best answer to a fool,” he said.
