AMAZING: Mad Woman Gives Birth To A Baby In Kaduna Market (PHOTO)

Marketers and customers at Kaduna Central Market were shocked and excited when a mentally-challenged woman gave birth to a baby boy in broad daylight on Sunday, January 17.

Hassana delivered the baby in front of a bank adjacent the Kaduna State Media Corporation.

Vanguard reports that the woman, simply known as Hassana, delivered the baby in front of a bank adjacent the Kaduna State Media Corporation.

Some women formed a circle around her, while one of them played the role of a midwife.

According to local residents, a 22-year-old Hassana had wandered around the market for years until she was spotted being pregnant.

Speaking with journalists, an excited trader said: “She moves in tattered clothes, scavenging for food around this market. Now, someone has impregnated her and God has helped her to get a fine baby boy. Many people are looking for this blessing, but he chose to give it to a woman who is not even in her senses. And the father seems not to exist.”

Vanguard learned that Ibrahima Yakubu, a journalist with Deutsche Welles, was at the market at that time. He provided money to convey both mother and child to the Yusuf Danstoho Memorial Hospital in Tudun Wada for proper medical assistance.

Yakubu contacted Senator Shehu Sani who made some donations to both mother and the baby and paid the hospital bills.

Some well-meaning Nigerians also decided to help the new born baby and mother by donating pampers, bottles Olive oil, baby cloths, underwear, baby food and milk.

Last year, a similar incident happened in Delta state, where a mentally deranged woman gave birth to twins in public.
