Dasuki’s Lawyer Lays Allegations Against Buhari
Joseph Daudu, the lead lawyer of Sambo Dasuki, the former national security adviser has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of interfering with court system.
The former national security adviser was accused of misappropriating and embezzling money meant for the purchase of arms. His arrest and continued detention has raised criticism from some persons who feel the president is not conforming to the rule of law.

Dasuki filed a suit against the federal government before the ECOWAS court in Abuja over his continued detention.

PM News reports that Daudu claimed the judiciary was not allowed to operate independently and accused the president of reverting to his old military style.
“He (Buhari) emphasised he was a changed man, open to democratic principals. But interfering with the court system, trying to find your own rule of law, is not good.”
“It makes the outcome suspect.”
Dausa said on Wednesday, January 20 in a court in Abuja that Dasuki had been held in confinement and prevented from having access to legal counsel.
He said he had been granted bail last month and that his continued detention was contrary to the law of the country.
Dasuki was accused of giving out money meant for the purchase of arms to members of the Peoples Democratic Party. one of the persons accused of receiving money from Dasuki is Olisa Metuh, the spokesperson of the party who has been arraigned in court.
