Photonews: Nigerians celebrate the birth of commonsense
– Senator Ben Murray Bruce celebrated his sixtieth birthday
– A very glamorous party was held in his honour
– He launched his book called “A Commonsense revolution”
Senator Ben Murray Bruce just turned 60 and a birthday party was held in his honour. The party which held in the prestigious Eko Hotel had in attendance many dignitaries, some of which include: Donald Duke, the ex-governor of Cross River state who was standing in for Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, who was chief guest of honour.
Also in attendance were, the deputy Senate President, Chief Ike Ekweremadu, Senator Dino Melaye, the ex-governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu amongst others.
It was a great fiesta in celebration of love, life, dedication, passion and patriotism.
Hall filled to the brim with family, friends and well wishers. However, the class in attendance, good music and great food were not the hallmark of the event.
The high-point for the event was the rebirth of “commonsense” a mantra and a cause for which the celebrant has been poised to pursue, indeed one of several causes which he has been championing, Some will argue that the commonsense cause embodies virtual all that Senator Ben Bruce has worked for.
“Commonsense” for Nigerians and indeed for the world was reborn in the book written by the celebrant himself. It is titled “A Commonsense Revolution”.
Senator Bruce in his book tried to help restore back to Nigerians, Africans and the world; that proverbial righteous mind which has been lost.
It is in this rebirth of commonsense and the wake up call to do that which is most necessary that the people gathered to celebrate the philanthropist, the astute philosopher, brilliant entrepreneur and fast growing charismatic politician.
Below are photos from the celebration of the rebirth of “commonsense”.
