Sexual Assault: 2 teenage boys take turns in defiling 8-year-old girl

The two boys have been released on bail, but are to return to court on April 20, 2016, for a hearing.

Two teenage boys, Michael Lawal (15) and Tunde Taiwo (17), have been arraigned before the Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for allegedly taking turns in sexually defiling an 8-year-old girl.

The suspects, who are residents of Ogunmokun Street, Mushin, Lagos, are facing a three-count charge of Conspiracy, Illegal Sexual Intercourse and Assault.

 

Inspector Emada Victor, who is a prosecutor in the case told the court that the accused lured the minor to No. 1, Ijaye St., Mushin, where they sexually assaulted her in turns on June 15, 2015.

He also said that the offences contravened Sections 135 and 166 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

Mr F. A. Azeez, the Chief Magistrate of the court, however granted bail to the suspects.

The first and second offender are to pay a sum of N70,000 and N50,000 respectively. The case has been adjourned till April 20, 2016.
